For the chocolate mug cake
  1. In a coffee mug, using a measuring spoon combine, maida, powdered sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda. Using a fork give it a good mix.
  2. Pour condensed milk, milk, butter, cream, vinegar and vanilla essence. Using a fork mix everything until well combined and you have a lump free batter.
  3. Once the batter is ready then add 1 tbsp of the extra milk, give it a good stir. You should not add the extra milk earlier, as it would make lumps in the batter.
  4. The mug cake batter is ready; you can add some choco chips or chocolate at this stage before baking it.
  5. Place the mug in the microwave, and cook it for 1 minute, cooking time depends on the microwave that you use.
  6. After 1 minute our Chocolate Mug cake is ready.
For the vanilla mug cake

Recipe Notes

Notes:

  • If you do not have condensed milk then please use a total of 3 tbsp of powdered sugar.
  • Using oil instead of butter will make the cake extra, moist.
  • If you do not have condensed milk then you have to increase the cream quantity to 1 ½ tbsp of cream or malai.

Tips:

  • Cooking time depends totally on the microwave that you are using, the microwave that is used in the video is 800W.
