INGREDIENTS:
For the dough
  • Yeast - 3/4 tsp
  • Sugar - 2 tsp
  • Maida - 1 1/2 cup
  • salt - 1 tsp
  • Garlic powder / flakes - 1 tsp or chopped garlic
  • Water - to knead the dough
  • oil - 1 tbsp
For the stuffing
  • Pizza Cheese - 150 gms grated
  • Corn - 1/4 cup frozen
  • Jalapeno - 2-3 tbsp chopped or red chilli
  • Garlic Powder - 1 tsp or chopped garlic
  • Oregano - 1 tsp
  • Melted Butter - 1/4 cup
  • salt - 1 1/2 cup for baking the bread

  • Chili Flakes - as required

RECIPE STEPS:

  1. In a large mixing bowl combine warm water and sugar, stir until the sugar is slightly dissolved.

  2. Add the yeast and give it a good stir. Allow the mixture to proof for 10 minutes in a warm area. After 3-4 minutes your yeast mixture should look frothy.

  3. Add maida, garlic flakes and salt, mix all the ingredients.

  4. Add the yeast mixture and using your hand start mixing all the ingredients. Knead the dough for 4-5 minutes or until you form soft dough.

  5. Add oil and grease the dough completely, cover with a damp cloth, keep it aside for 1 hour to rise or until its doubles in volume.

  1. After an hour the dough will be double in size. Sprinkle some dry flour on the dough and punch it down.

  2. Using your hands gently divide the dough into two portion, smoothed the portioned out dough in between your palms.

  3. Keep the cake tin base and the plate ready, before you start rolling the dough.

  4. Roll the dough using a rolling pin, into the size of your cake tin base size.

  5. Spread a generous amount of grated cheese at the bottom portion of the dough.

  7. Apply some water towards the edges, and fold the dough, seal the edges by sticking them together.

  9. Once done place it in the cake tin base, using a knife make ridges on top, do not cut all the way through.

  1. Start preheating a cooker, spread the salt evenly and place a round ring cutter in the center. This will elevate the height and avoid the bread from burning.

  2. Place the lid without the gasket or whistle, preheat the cooker for 10 minutes over high flame.

RECIPE NOTES :

Notes: You can use garlic paste or fresh garlic if you do not have garlic flakes. You can use a combination of cheddar and mozzarella cheese. Brushing melted butter will help to brown the top and also helps the herbs to stick well.
